Mike started in October 2016 and support the organisation with IT support for the advice network, as well as supporting the community partners theme as a Tech Champion on the Patient Online Project. He monitors the work of volunteers and advisors on Salesforce, within Hackney and Tower Hamlets, completing weekly performance update reports. Mike is learning how to design webpages, experimenting with changing the Social Action For Health website content. He has also designed posters and presentations and continues to learn and develop skills.

"When I first came to the office my ambitions were to understand what it is like to work in a professional and mature atmosphere.I wanted to get some experience of working with computers too. I just wanted to invest some time into helping and educating myself more. Volunteering has made me realize that working in an office is quite fun. I have also met lots of friendly, kind and funny fellow workers who have made my experience even better."

"Working in this office has taught me a lot and given me a lot to think about in the future. I now know what it is like working in such an atmosphere and whether I want to do it in the future. Many people have supported me along my journey as a volunteer and have made my stay here longer then I first expected. I would definitely recommend that people volunteer here, just like I did, at Social Action for Health."
