Maternity Voices meet-ups

We strongly encourage all service user representatives to attend a Maternity Voices meet-up before attending the Maternity Voices Partnership meeting. This is to ensure that you can share their experience and discuss them with others. We also explain how the Maternity Voices Partnership works including as part of the wider NHS Maternity System.

Membership of the Maternity Voices Partnership

In order to be able to receive details and papers of your local MVP, you will need to become a member. There are two types of membership: Core and Associate.

All Core members are equal – there is no hierarchy between health professionals and parents or other stakeholders. The MVP is about finding a way for all these groups to work together to agree where change is needed and find ways to bring about that change. All Core members are able to add items to the agenda and make representations that are important to them. Core members are expected to attend at least two meetings out of the four held each year and to send apologies for those that they are not able to attend.

As an Associate Member, you will receive all meeting invitations and reports that the MVP is discussing. However, you will not be able to vote or add items to the MVP agenda or make specific representations to the meeting.
