As a member of you local Maternity Voices Partnership, you will be able to influence how your MVP works on its priorities. All members are equal – there is no hierarchy between health professionals and parents or other stakeholders. The MVP is about finding a way for all these groups to work together to agree where change is needed and find ways to bring about that change.

Members are invited to all Maternity Voices Partnership meetings and receive paperwork and reports that the MVP is discussing. You will also be able to add items to the agenda and make representations that are important to you.

Members are expected to attend at least one meeting out of the four held each year and to send apologies for those that they are not able to attend. If you cannot commit to this, but still want to be involved you are welcome to participate by:

  • Attend to report on a specific issue
  • Attend our Maternity Voices meet-ups (only open to non-health professionals) and join the discussion
  • Assist in collecting feedback from your community – contact us for more information
  • Share your story [link]
  • Follow your MVP online and through Social Media
